Greetings and a warm welcome to all delegates, distinguished guests, speakers and esteemed healthcare professionals to the 2nd Sabah Oral Healthcare Scientific Symposium (SOHSS) 2027 in Tawau.
It brings me immense pride to see this symposium grow into a vital platform for our dental fraternity. Following the commendable success of our inaugural symposium in Keningau in 2026, this second edition reflects our steadfast dedication to advancing oral healthcare across the state of Sabah by fostering a robust culture of research, clinical excellence, and evidence-based practice.
This second edition's theme, " One Vision, One Smile: Advancing Oral Health through Diverse Partnership" serves as a timely reminder that the evolving complexity of oral health demands a unified approach. Achieving sustainable progress requires us to break silos and build meaningful bridges. By expanding our collaboration across public dental services, private practitioners, academic institutions, non-governmental organizations, and allied strategic partners, we create a dynamic network capable of delivering more responsive, inclusive, and high-impact oral healthcare to our communities.
My gratitude goes to the Organizing Committee for their tireless efforts and dedication in bringing this event to fruition in Tawau. To the speakers - thank you for sharing your valuable expertise and input, and to all participants, I encourage you to immerse yourselves fully in the scientific program, and cultivate strategic networks that will drive innovation and raise the standard of care across Sabah.
May this symposium inspire new perspectives, strengthen our professional bonds, and reinforce our shared commitment to excellence. I wish you all an enriching and fruitful experience.
Dear Esteemed Colleagues, Distinguished Speakers and Delegates,
It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to each of you as we gather for the 2nd Sabah Oral Healthcare Scientific Symposium 2027. This momentous occasion will take place in Tawau, the Land of Agriculture from January 29 to 31, 2026.
As oral healthcare becomes increasingly complex, true progress requires bridging disciplines and breaking boundaries. In line with this vision, we are proud to expand our platform to welcome strategic partners from all sectors—including public and private dental practitioners, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), academic institutions, allied health and trade industry partners.
Beyond the scientific sessions, we encourage you to leverage this opportunity to build new professional networks, refine your clinical skills, and elevate the quality of care delivered to our communities.
Thank you for your continuing support and commitment to SOHSS 2027. I look forward to celebrating this remarkable milestone for a better smile to our community.
